Photos: Buhari gets No 10 football jersey from FIFA president

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) has be handed a complimentary number 10 jersey by the FIFA president, Gianni Infantino.

According to a statement released by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Infantino extended the gesture to the president during a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

Alongside the blue jersey which had ‘Buhari’ boldly crested atop, Infantino also present a pennant and a ball to the president as they both shared the COVID-inspired elbow shake.

The FIFA president was accompanied by the CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe as well as the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, and the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick.
