Alexander Zverev wasted no time again as the German cruised into the last 16 of the Olympic tennis tournament 6-2 6-2 against Colombia's Daniel Galan on Monday.
Fourth seed Zverev broke his 113th-ranked opponent in the opening game on centre court and never looked back on the way to a second-round victory in one hour 10 minutes.
"That was a rather positive match for me today and I am happy to have advanced," the 2020 US Open finalist said.
"You must be aggressive in these conditions, do a lot with your serve. You must try to dominate the rally, and that worked quite well today."
Zverev, who had also won his opening game in straight sets, next faces dangerous unseeded Georgian Nikolas Basilashvili who ousted Italy's Lorenzo Sonego 6-4 3-6 6-4.
