The President, Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on Monday reacted to the death of founder of Complete Communications Limited, Sunny Emmanuel Ojeagbase.

WuzupNigeria had reported that S.O., as he was fondly called, died in Atlanta, United States, after a brief illness.

In a message released by the presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, Buhari condoled with the family, friends and professional associates of Ojeagbase.

He affirmed that Ojeagbase’s vision and diligence transformed sports reporting and inspired a generation of media entrepreneurs.

While commiserating his wife and longtime business partner, Pastor Esther Ojeagbase, Buhari noted her contribution with her husband in publishing, ministration and charity brought about innovative titles such as Complete Football magazine, Complete Football International, International Soccer Review and Success Digest.

The President also affirmed that "Ojeagbase, who worked for the Daily Times, Concord newspapers and The Guardian, before pioneering sports news publication in Nigeria, 1984, was also a teacher and preacher of the Word of God, and he lived by the tenets of the Holy Bible, greatly motivating others to grow spiritually and apply the principles of honesty, fairness and integrity in business.”
