*Moutinho scores as Wolves devour Manchester United at Old Trafford*
Manchester United recorded their first defeat in five games under new manager, Ralf Rangnick after Joao Moutinho’s late strike earned Wolves a deserved 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
Right from the blast of the whistle, the visitors were by far the better side with Daniel Podence, Ruben Neves and Nelson Semedo threatening to tear down the lacklustre defence of the Red Devils.
Goalkeeper David De Gea was forced into diving saves on a number of occasions especially in the first half.
The poorly coordinated United team was limited to speculative efforts from distance after poor decision making in the final third.
They, however, improved in the second half with substitute Bruno Fernandes’ shot ricocheting off the bar and a Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal ruled out for offside.
On the other hand, Wolves’ Roman Saiss also hit the woodwork and eight minutes from time they finally caught the brilliant De Gea napping.
And the goal came from an unlikely hero, Moutinho, the oldest player in tonight’s match.
His brilliant effort from outside the box found the net and gave wolves all the three points.
