German side, Eintracht Frankfurt, have defeated Scottish Premiership giants, Rangers FC, on penalties to lift the 2021/22 Europa League trophy on Thursday night.
Super Eagles star, Joe Aribo, broke the deadlock after a goalless first half to give Giovani Van Bronchorst's men the lead in the 57th minute.
However, the lead only lasted for only 12 minutes before Rafael Santos Borré Maury scored the equaliser, forcing the game into extra time.
Rangers pressured the Germans in extra time but failed to get past Frankfurt's Trapp who was outstanding for Oliver Glasner's men, forcing the game into penalties after 120 minutes of play.
However, Frankfurt stole the cup after former Arsenal and Juventus star, Aaron Ramsey, had his penalty saved by Trapp.
But it was Rafael Santos Borré who scored the winner as Frankfurt claimed the shootout 5-4 in Seville.
