Chelsea pulled a 3-1 comeback victory against Aston Villa to end their winless run in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Blues came into the game with two consecutive draws, needing an all-important win to keep track of league leaders Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool.

However, Thomas Tuchel's men got off to a rough start as right-back Reece James gave Steven Gerrard's men the lead through an unfortunate own goal (28').

Villa's lead lasted only six minutes as Matty Cash tripped Callum Hudson-Odoi in their penalty area leaving the referee with no choice but to award the spot-kick.

Record signing, Romelu Lukaku, turned the game around after his introduction in the second half and fired Chelsea ahead for the first time on the night with a fantastic 56th-minute header after a cross from Hudson-Odoi.

The Belgian was instrumental to Chelsea's third goal by winning a second penalty for the Blues after a dashing run was halted by a tackle from Ezri Konsa who gave away another spot-kick.

Martinez followed Jorginho's second penalty but was unable to stop the Italian from getting his brace( 90+3') as Chelsea won the game 3-1.

Chelsea are now six points behind league leaders Man City while remaining level on point with Liverpool who have an outstanding game.
