Leicester Iheanacho Ndidi FA Cup

Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho and compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi, have won the FA Cup trophy following Leicester City 1-0 win over Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Leicester were looking to win their first-ever FA Cup trophy after four previous attempts in the finals as Chelsea look to make up for last season’s disappointment in the final against Arsenal.

However, the Blues were dealt a major blow in their bid to win their ninth FA Cup trophy as fans returned to Stadiums for the first time since last year.

Belgian midfielder, Youri Tielemanns, netted the winning goal for Brendan Rodger’s side in the 63rd minute with a stunning shot from about 25 yards out which found its way to the top-left corner, leaving Kepa Arizzabalaga with no choice.

Chelsea thought they had forced a late equaliser through a Wes Morgan own goal but the goal was disallowed by VAR as Ben Chilwell was caught offside, sending Leicester fans into a frenzy.

Chelsea have now suffered two consecutive defeats in the FA Cup final, losing by a goal margin after their 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the 2019/20 season.
