Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has slammed his former side after the shambolic display in the 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Speaking at half-time, Keane expressed utter disappointment with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side’s performance, admitting he “gives up” on the current squad.

United went two goals down in the first half after an early own goal by Eric Bailly in the 7th minute before Luke Shaw and David de Gea allowed Bernado Silva to double the lead from an impossible position in the 45th minute.

“These are international footballers,” the former Red Devils captain Keane told Sky Sports.

“Look at Luke Shaw and David de Gea. What chance have you got in this game? I’ve been cursing these fellas for years. I give up, I give up on these players.

“I cannot understand the defending. I drove down here today thinking, ‘Man United have a chance, they’re at home…’

“They’ve been like this all season, giving up chances. Man City got a little bit arrogant and gave them a few chances. But unless United do something drastic, it will be another four or five.”
