Manchester City's Ferran Torres has undergone his Barcelona medical ahead of his official announcement as a Camp Nuo player.
WuzupNigeria reported that the Spanish giants and the defending Premier League champions agreed on a fee worth an initial 55 million euros ($62 million, £47 million) for Torres' transfer.
Respected sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano reported that the 22-year-old arrived in Spain for his medical on Monday morning.
According to the Italian journalist, Xavi Hernandez's side will make an official announcement on Torres' signing after the medical.
"The Spanish winger(Torres) undergoes his medical today morning and then he will sign as new Barcelona player. Paperworks completed between City and Barça. #FCB Official announcement in place," Romano tweeted.
The Spanish international joined City from Valencia for a fee of just over £20 million in August 2020, AFP added
Torres has scored 16 goals in 43 appearances for the English champions as City won the Premier League, League Cup and reached the final of the Champions League during his only full season in Manchester.
