Ex-WWE star Sakoda dies at 46

Former WWE star Ryan Sakoda has passed away earlier this month at the age of 48.

As of press time, the cause of death remains unknown but tributes have poured in from his colleagues.

Sakoda recently worked for Disney at their Grand California Hotel.

He then spent several years in promotions such as UPW and XWF,before he entered the WWE as an enhancement talent in 2003.

Sakoda appeared on SmackDown alongside Akio and Tajira from 2003 until he was released by WWE in 2004.

"Ryan Keiji Sakoda, age 48, passed away on September 2, 2021.

"Beloved son of Ronney and Colleen Sakoda; brother of Kelley (Cliff) Ikeda and Brett (Shelly) Sakoda; uncle to Kaylee, Brendan, Cammy, and Nicholas.

"He was the nephew of Jimmy and Akemi Sakoda, Gary and Irene Sumida, and Ray and Carolyn Funatsu; and had many cousins," an obituary listed on Fukui Mortuary’s website read.
