Denmark and Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen, is expected to undergo a crucial medical next month.

The test will determine if he would potentially play football in the future, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

This comes three months after the Danish star suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Denmark’s Euro 2020 clash with Finland.

Eriksen has been left out of Simone Inzaghi's Champions League squad due to his condition.

UK Sun reports that the Italian FA in July said that the Dane would need to remove his implantable cardioverter defibrillator to play for Inter again.

Eriksen is now set for an important check-up in October which could allow him to remove the ICD.

But the tests may also see the Dane needing to keep the device permanently.
