Weightlifter, Rafiatu Folashade Lawal, has won Nigeria's second gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games by coming first in the women's 59kg Weightlifting category.
Folashade broke three games records to lift a combined total of 206kg.
Nigeria now has three medals in total in the competition, all from weightlifters; two golds and a bronze.
Punch Metro reported that Olarinoye Adenike Adijat won the country’s first gold medal by lifting a tournament record of 203kg in the Women's 55kg category.
Edidiong Joseph Umoafia doubled the medal by clinching a bronze medal in the men's 67kg.
