Bruno Fernandes breaks David Beckham’s 23-year-old Champions League record
Manchester United star, Bruno Fernandes, has broken David Beckham’s 23-year-old Champions League record.
Fernandes provided the assist for youngster, Anthony Elanga, to score United’s leveller in the 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 clash.
The Portuguese maestro has now registered at least one assist in six consecutive matches in the Champions League this season.
He becomes the first footballer playing for an English club to do so for the first time in 23 years.
United legend, Beckham, was the last footballer playing in an English club, to do so in 1998.
