Brighton shattered Manchester United’s Champions League hopes after a humiliating 4-0 at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday night.

The Red Devils failed to turn up for the party and subsequently paid for their shambolic display as Graham Potter’s men ran riot, netting four goals before the hour mark.

Moisés Caicedo opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Marc Cucurella doubled the lead in the 49th minute.

Pascal Gro’s 57th-minute goal made it 3-0 while Leandro Trossard rounded off the mauling with a fourth goal three minutes later.

The result meant that Ral Ragnick’s men are mathematically out of the race for a top-four finish with just two matches to go and are on course for their worst Premier League finish.
