Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, has reacted after music star Burna Boy gifted Portable N20 million for defeating him in a celebrity boxing match.
The fight, called Chaos in the Ring: Battle for Glory, took place on Friday night. Portable won the match in the first round, leaving Speed Darlington with a dislocated shoulder. He also received a prize of N500,000 for the victory.
After the match, Burna Boy, who has been in a long-running feud with Speed Darlington, surprised fans by giving Portable an extra N20 million to celebrate the win.
Sharing the news, Portable posted on social media, “20 million from Burna Boy. If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”
Speed Darlington, known for his controversial online posts, quickly reacted to Burna Boy’s move. In a post on Instagram on Sunday, he accused Burna Boy—whom he often refers to as “Long Face”—of always stalking him online.
“Nobody watches you more than your enemy. Because they wanna know if you are doing well. Long Face sleeps on my page. His whole life is now checking up on me,” he wrote.
Darlington also claimed Portable used ‘juju’ (traditional charm) to win the fight.
