Speaker Abass swears in 12 new reps members

The Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, administered the oath of office to twelve newly elected members of the House of Representatives during Thursday’s plenary session,

These appointments come following by-elections and reruns conducted by INEC in several federal constituencies nationwide. Some lawmakers were removed by the Court of Appeal, prompting reruns in certain constituencies.

The newly sworn-in members include Umar Garba representing Ngaski/Shanta/Yauri Federal constituency of Kebbi state, Ifeoluwa Ehindero from Akoko North East/North West of Ondo states, Faud Laguda from Surulere 1 federal constituency of Lagos state, Saleh Zock from Kachia/Kangaroo federal constituency of Kaduna state, Daniel Ago from Jos North/Bases federal constituency of Plateau state, Yusuf Tafoki from Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa of Katsina state, and Mohammed Jajere representing Fune/Fune federal constituency of Yobe state.

Others are Rabiu Kamba representing Arewa/Dandi federal constituency of Kebbi state, Emma Udo of Ikono/Ini federal constituency of Akwa Ibom state, Emil Inyang of Akamkpa/Biase Federal constituency of Cross River State, Peter Uzokwe of Nnewi North/Nnewi South federal constituency of Anambra state, Chinwe Orumba of North/Orumba South federal constituency, and Adamu Yakubu representing Birnin Kudu/Buji federal constituency of Jigawa state.
