Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has been highly applauded on Twitter after the Federal High Court on Tuesday, ordered the immediate release of Mr Omoleye Sowore, convener of the revolution now movement, from the custody of the Department of State Service.

Mr Falana, the lawyer who is representing the detained Sahara Reporters publisher has been trending on Nigeria Twittersphere as a hero who ‘floored’ the Federal Government over its’s “ridiculous” charges.

Some also extolled his virtues by posting Falana’s photos with captions like “Fogerrit, Femi Falana na man. His more of “FF the bad guy” just like his son “Folarin Falana” Falz the bad guy.. Fogerrit, Femi Falana na man. His more of “FF the bad guy” just like his son “Folarin Falana” Falz the bad guy…#FreeSowore immediately”.

Others also gave some narratives of how he once represented Afrobeats icon, Fela Kuti during Ibrahim Babangida-led Government.

However, some have urged well-wishers not to be hasty in celebrating Sowore’s release until the latter is handed over to Falana.

Sowore’s release is yet another victory for democracy.

The judge is not only wise but brave.
