Anambra State’s Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has empowered graduates trained from the “One Youth, Two Skills” program with a N2 billion grant in Awka.

Soludo handed over the cheques during a special graduation and business financing event for the first group of beneficiaries on Friday.

He said, “We have a special fund set up through the Anambra State Small Business Agency for those who have formed cooperatives. They can access grants of up to N5 million to help them expand their businesses.”

He emphasized that the grant each of them would receive should be enough to purchase the necessary equipment to kickstart their enterprises.

The governor encouraged the graduates to visit their respective Local Government Areas next week to collect their cheques.

He highlighted that human capital is Anambra’s most valuable resource and stressed that his administration is dedicated to empowering the youth in a sustainable manner.

The Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, also revealed that the second phase of the program would kick off soon, providing even more opportunities for Anambra’s young entrepreneurs.
