Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Dean Henderson for his display in Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Luton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
United were awarded a penalty late in the first half which was converted by Juan Mata.
The lead would have been equalized thanks to a brilliant save by Henderson.
Marcus Rashford then came off the bench to double their lead before Mason Greenwood made it 3-0.
“Some positives of course. We’ve got a keeper back there who does his job,” Solksjaer said after the game.
On Henderson’s late save, he added: “That is probably the job our keepers sometimes have to do, you have to make saves when needed and David [de Gea] has done that for years and Dean did that today.”
Solskjaer also gave an update on United’s transfer plans this summer.
“We’re working with the ones we have [right now].
“Let’s see what happens. We’ll give you updates if there is something,” Solskjaer said.
