Tottenham edged Brentford 2-0 in the London derby semifinal of the Carabao Cup at the Tottenham Stadium on Tuesday night.

Moussa Sissoko gave Jose Mourinho’s man the edged with a clinical header in the first-half after a pinpoint cross from Spaniard, Sergio Reguilon.

Brentford thought they had gotten an equaliser in the second half through Ivan Toney, but VAR disallowed the goal for offside.

Son Heung-min put Spurs in the driving seat by scoring the home side’s second goal with a composed finish in the 70th minute.

However, the visitors had more to worry about later on when Josh Dasilva got sent off for a clumsy tackle on Pierre-Emile Højbjerg late in the second half.

Mourinho’s men await the outcome of Wednesday’s semi-final between Manchester City or Manchester United to know their opponent for the final.
