#SinglesDay: Heartbreak had me sobbing like a fool – Toolz
Radio presenter, Tolu Oniru-Demuren, fondly called Toolz has recounted her worst heartbreak experience as the world marks #SinglesDay today, Nov 11, 2020.
In a statement on her official Twitter account, Toolz recalled how she cried like a fool over a heartbreak; the last time she ever cried over a breakup.
INFO: The Singles’ Day or Double 11, originally called Bachelors’ Day, is a Chinese unofficial holiday and shopping season that celebrates people who are not in relationships.
Now married to Captain Tunde Demuren, the Beat FM presenter said that the heartbreak had her crying in front of a London Underground station – Brixton.
“Heartbreak had me crying hysterically outside Brixton Station. I was walking and talking to my friend, and the tears just came from nowhere. Sobbing like a fool, while ppl walked passed and ‘Awwwed’ me. Never cried over a break up since then.”

In a subsequent tweet, Toolz opined that “everyone needs to go through a bad heartbreak at least once.”
She buttressed by stating the benefits one would derive from such: “Once you realise it didn’t kill you, you unlock some next level of strength and clarity for your next relationship. For me she.”
“I was so ashamed of myself. Like me a whole curvy gangsta being reduced to hysterics over one random home sapien. I still stalked him a little after, but my sense soon returned,” Toolz added.
