Suspected cultists on Wednesday evening stormed the computer village situated in Ogunabali, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, shooting indiscriminately while looting shops.

The hoodlums stole laptops, phones and other goods belonging to traders.

Recall that the hoodlums had invaded the place a few days ago, harassing shop owners and extorting monies from them.

The suspected cultists have vowed to return to the computer village over the refusal of the traders to pay N500, 000 monthly fee which they dubbed ‘marching ground’.

Following the panic created by the gunshots, many customers and motorists near the area leading to the Rebisi flyover scampered for safety as the hoodlums held sway.

The state police image maker, Nnamdi Omoni could not be reached for comments as of the time of filing this report, as several calls put across to his mobile were left unanswered.
