Sports enthusiasts on Monday thronged to Twitter to celebrate 23 times Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, after her astonishing win at the ongoing Australian Open.
The seven-time champion knocked out the world No.1 Simona Halep 6-1 4-6 6-4 to reach her 12th #AusOpen quarterfinal.
The mother of one said its a miracle she is here adding that “I keep fighting for every point.”
“It was really intense match and some incredible points but I love playing tennis and being out here.
“I really needed to elevate my game, I had to play like I knew I could and that was hopefully the difference.
“I’m such a fighter I just never give up. It’s definitely something that’s innate. It’s a miracle I’m here and I get to do something I enjoy. I keep fighting for every point.”
Many of her fans and sports enthusiasts celebrated Serana’s astonishing win on their Twitter page with beautiful messages.

Many described her as a phenomenal woman who brings her best to the games and stands out all the times.
Some also shared clips of the match while showering praises on Simona Halep and Serena for the spectacular match.
Serena Williams is the oldest player to beat a world number one.
Williams has won an all-time record of 13 Grand Slam singles titles on hard court. The mother of one holds the Open Era record for most titles won at the Australian Open (7) and shares the Open Era record for most titles won at the US Open with Chris Evert.
She also holds the all-time record for the most women’s singles matches won at majors with 331 matches.
