Media personality Shade Ladipo has confessed to harshly criticizing singer Tiwa Savage following the leak of the artiste’s private sex tape in 2021.
In a candid video shared via Instagram, Ladipo admitted that she was among those who publicly condemned Tiwa at the time, but now deeply regrets her reaction.
She acknowledged that her judgment was misplaced and unfair, explaining that she initially blamed Tiwa Savage for the scandal. According to Ladipo, her perspective changed after listening to Tiwa’s recently released album, This One Is Personal, which gave her a deeper understanding of the emotional trauma the singer endured.
“I was one of the people who blasted Tiwa Savage when that s3x tape came out. I’ll be honest. I blamed her. I was like, you know what? How can you be over 40? Cause we are mates and you’re still messing around with people like this,” she admitted.
“In hindsight, I wonder why I was blaming her so hard for something that happened to her.
“I felt her pain. And I just want to say to you, I love you. I’m sorry!” she added.
Ladipo’s public apology highlights a moment of self-reflection and accountability, as she confronts her previous stance and offers support to the singer she once harshly criticized.
