Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has lambasted the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government for cancelling three months tourist visa for Nigerians following the arrest of five Nigerians for robbery.
He described the Arab country’s move as a clear case of racism which should not be blamed on the thieves.
WuzupNaija reports that UAE cancelled the three months tourist visa for Nigerian passport holders after the arrest of five Nigerians for robbery in Dubai.
Seun took to his Instagram page to condemn the move, questioning why UAE decided to place a restriction on the whole nation over the misdeed of five of its citizens.
He wrote:
“Arabic racism stinks to high heavens but your elites have started blaming the thieves because they don’t want to take on their masters in a clear case of racism they are blaming the thieves, since we all sent them to do the job abi? Man fuck the UAE.
“It’s alright to help your Arabic cousins empty out our treasury into ur coffers but woe betide the poor masses for trying to get in on the act. #SaltyUAE #getthesax.”
