Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has voiced strong concerns over the recurring road accidents involving Dangote trucks, describing the situation as deeply troubling and preventable.

His reaction follows a recent incident involving Ruth Otabor, the sister of Big Brother Naija winner Phyna Otabor. Ruth was struck by a Dangote truck reportedly driven by an underage driver.

The impact resulted in the amputation of her left leg, and medical professionals have warned that her right leg may also need to be removed. In the aftermath, Phyna took to social media and other platforms to call out the company and demand justice for her sister.

Addressing the issue, Seun Kuti said, “There is nowhere else in the world where businesses operate the way Dangote runs his.” He argued that if such a pattern of accidents were occurring in other countries, the company would have faced numerous lawsuits amounting to billions and possibly been shut down.

He also pointed out the economic hardship faced by many Nigerians, noting that a significant portion of the population cannot afford Dangote products. He described the billionaire industrialist as “a danger to the country,” emphasizing the social and safety implications of the company’s operations.
