Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos will officially leave the Spanish club on Thursday, bringing an end to an illustrious career at the club.

A statement by the Spanish giant revealed that club president, Florentino Perez, would lead a tribute and farewell for Ramos tomorrow around 12:30pm.

The Athletic reported that the 35-year-old parted ways with Madrid after failing to agree a new contract with his current contract set to expire by month end.

The statement read, “Real Madrid CF announces that tomorrow, Thursday, June 17, at 12:30 pm, there will be an institutional act of tribute and farewell to our captain Sergio Ramos, with the presence of our president Florentino Pérez.

“Next, Sergio Ramos will appear before the media at a telematic press conference.”

Ramos joined Madrid from Sevilla in 2005, making a total of 469 appearances for the club, scoring 72 goals throughout his time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

During the spell, he won the Champions League four times and La Liga five times.
