The beef between veteran Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, and Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), may not end soon as the singer last night dropped a new single, ‘Jaga Jaga Oti Get e’, in which he attacked the minister.

WUZUPNIGERIA reports that Keyamo is a lawyer and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a title that may be conferred on legal practitioners in Nigeria of not less than ten years standing who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession. In the song, Eedris addresses Keyamo as a ‘Senior Advocate of Nonsense’.

Last month, the rapper dropped ‘Jaga Jaga Reloaded’ in which he dissed the lawyer, alleging that he has joined a supposed cabal ruling the nation into doom and impoverishing the populace.

The new attack comes after Keyamo released to the public screenshots of a private chat between him and the singer years ago. In the communication in 2015, the rapper had requested help from the lawyer to the tune of N3m to help with his sick (now deceased) mom’s hospital bills; the singer had also wanted a piece of the action on the campaign trail of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), pledging his ‘body and soul’ to the work.

Keyamo, however, ghosted Eedris after that.

Now the rapper has taken the beef a notch higher with the third sequel of the 2004 hit song, Jaga Jaga, dropping ‘Jaga Jaga Oti Get e’ and labelling the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a ‘Senior Advocate of Nonsense’.

The singer also raised points on the state of insecurity in the nation.

In the song, he notes Keyamo’s involvement in government propaganda which he says the Buhari-led regime is full of.

He asks, “Is your government not a cabal wey dey pamper plenty terrorists?” Alluding to Mr Buhari’s cover-up of issues concerning Nigeria’s Minister of Communication and the Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, and his connections to extremist and pro-terrorist sentiments.

The song also touches on the multiple reports of kidnappings across the nation as Mr Abdulkareem describes extremism as a “Hallmark” of the government. He states that many people, including him, had initially supported Mr Buhari and have now regretted their decision.
