The Senate has officially confirmed the appointment of Mr. Adama Oluwole Oladapo as the Executive Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund Board.
This confirmation comes more than a month after President Bola Tinubu sanctioned the appointment of a governing council and an Executive Director for the NMDGIFB.
The upper legislative chamber’s resolution and confirmation follow the approval of the recommendation made by the Committee on Gas and Petroleum Resources (Downstream), which thoroughly screened Mr. Oladapo.
The Chairman of the committee, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, presented the report during the Committee of the Whole session on Thursday.
He noted that the committee had scrutinized Mr. Oladapo’s curriculum vitae and other relevant documents, affirming that he was well-qualified for the position.
