President Muhammadu Buhari was on Saturday, November 19, in Akure, the Ondo state capital for the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.
The rally was made important as the party seeks to wrestle the major opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the governorship ticket in the fast approaching November 26 gubernatorial election in the state.
Alongside the Senate president, Bukola Saraki and other APC governors and party leaders, the Nigerian president asked the people to vote for the party’s candidate, Chief Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and they shall get federal appointments.
But during a welcome ceremony to herald the president’s visit to the state, some women stopped him and with smiles on their faces, welcomed him to the state with dances.
