President Mahama on Thursday marked the beginning of oil production in Ghana’s second oil reserve, the new John Evans Atta Mills FPSO.
According to reports, the Tweneboa, Enyera and Ntomme (TEN) Oil field on which the new vessel Atta Mills FPSO sits is expected to produce between 20,000-23,000 barrels of oil per day.
TEN lies around 60 kilometres off the coast of the Western Region, Ghana.
Ghana’s Petroleum Minister, Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah disclosed that following the success of the TEN fields, Ghana is gradually becoming an integral part of the oil industry in West Africa.
