Latest reports have it that Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech crashed his car on his way out of the Emirates after he conceded four goals against Liverpool on Sunday evening.

NBC Sports editor, Joe Prince-Wright, posted three photos of the damaged vehicle, saying that Cech had ‘smashed his car up in car park at Emirates.’

Though Arsenal have yet to confirm whether the photographs are genuine but one witness claimed the car was ‘a write off.’

It is no surprise the stopper would be looking to make a quick exit from the ground after his team were booed from the pitch following the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool.

The visitors scored four goals without reply in a 20 minute spell inspired by the brilliance of Philippe Coutinho.

Goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers restored some pride for the Gunners but they ultimately deserved their loss.

Cech admitted he couldn’t blame fans for their unrest at the end of the game.

“As a player we understand the supporters came with the ambition to win the first game of the season,” he said.

“We played well for 60 minutes, but were not good enough for 30 minutes. You have 37 more games and you need to make sure that is the last defeat.”

Cech added: “I think it was more down to us. The momentum changed because of the free-kick [Coutinho’s equaliser].”

The Czech international refused to place responsibility for result on the shoulders of inexperienced defensive duo Calum Chambers and Rob Holding.

“They did really well,” he said. “You cannot be happy because you should not concede four goals at home, but I thought it was a really good experience for them.”
