U S. Secretary of State, John Kerry on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 met with some Nigerian students in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
The meeting was part of activities scheduled for Mr Kerry during his two days working visit to Nigeria state.
The U.S diplomat had on Tuesday paid a courtsey visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Statehouse in Abuja after he first visited Sokoto State.
Today, Mr Kerry met with some Nigerian science, technology, engineering and mathematics students at the US embassy in Abuja.
He also met with the Director, Centre for Democracy Development, Mrs Idayat Hassan, the founder BudgIT, Mr Olusegun Onigbinde and Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, Linda Thomas Greenfield.
Poet Hafez Ibrahim, speaking during the meeting said, “When you educate a woman, you create a nation.”
