Officials of the Nigerian Police Force operating in Lagos State have reportedly arrested a nursing mother and her baby for stealing plantain at Agbowa.
This was made known in the pictures shared on the Facebook page of JolibaNews Live.
The state’s commissioner of police, CP Fatai Owoseni, on hearing the report, condemned and used the opportunity to warn officers and men of the force to desist from such act.
The CP ordered the immediate release of the young lady and her baby that were arrested for stealing plantain.
CP Owoseni also gave the accused the sum of N10,000, after she alleged that hunger made her to commit the crime.
