Barely days after launching her new book, ‘On Becoming’, On Air Personality, Toke Makinwa, has received her first substantial contribution towards the book.

Popular musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, fondly called by his stage name, D’banj, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, dashed Toke N1m (one million naira) as his support towards her new book.

This was disclosed by Toke on her Instagram account, writing, “There are friends, and there are FRIENDS!!!!! Dapooooooooo………We go way back and it’s always been support, kindness and more support. Thank you for your huge contribution to my book #OnBecoming. You really didn’t have to and I know you’ll be mad at me for making this public but we’ll talk it over. D’banj made a pledge of 1 million Naira, and he redeemed it. Thank you bro cc @iambangalee Oya blast me now but before you do, let me shout about your own book. You must release it!”

Since Toke launched the book two days ago, she has been trending on social media due to details of her relationship with her former husband, Maje Ayida she revealed in the book.
