Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Monday, paid his official visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II.
This was made known in a post shared on the Facebook page of Eliteosas Airen.
Governor Obaseki who led members of his cabinet comprising his deputy, Philip Shaibu, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie, Chief of Staff, Taiwo Akerele and other high ranking government officials during the visit called for support from the Benin Kingdom.
He said thesupport from the palace will enable him have a more friendly land administrative system that would be investors friendly and in tune with his administration’s desire for more development for the state.
Obaseki promised that his administration would ensure a friendly environment to make Edo one of the cleanest states in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Oba Ewuare welcomed them and used the opportunity to carpet the activities of community development associations who have taken over sales of lands with very unfriendly conditions.
The monarch also charge Governor Obaseki to ensure that he fulfills his election promises to the people.
