Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday, visited the headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Abuja, to commend its efforts in fighting Boko Haram insurgency in the North East.
The Governor during the visit made a courtesy call on the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Mshl Sadique Abubakar, thanking him for his contributions to the people of Borno State and Nigeria.
Shettima expressed deep appreciation for the commitment the NAF has shown towards healthcare delivery to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other humanitarian supports.
He also used the opportunity to commiserate with the military and families of those who lost their lives to the fight against insurgency in Borno State.
Responding to the governor’s appreciation, Air Mshl Abubakar reiterated NAF’s commitment in collaborating with all stakeholders to restore peace and security to Borno State.
