Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, attended the 2016 Zik Lecture Series, at the University Auditorium, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
This was made known in the pictures shared few hours ago on the Facebook Page of Atiku Abubakar.
The former Vice President in his chairman’s remarks at the event, spoke on national crisis, education and Africa’s recovery.
Abubakar afterwards attended a live radio programme at UNIZIK 94.1 FM accompanied by Raila Odinga, former Governor Peter Obi, Sen. Ben Obi and the Vice chancellor of UNIZIK.
The former Vice President said it was imperative for the Zik Lecture series to be endowed in the federal university that bears the name of the remarkable African of Igbo extraction.
He thanked his political associate, Senator Ben Obi, for endowing the Zik Lecture series in the Faculty of Social Sciences in the young and dynamic university.
Abubakar urged that we should encourage more inter-African educational exchanges among students and faculty even as we exchange with the rest of the world too, noting that such exchanges would help as we try to understand the crisis besetting us and find solutions to them, including, perhaps the crisis of the nation state.
