A 25-year-old lady, identified as Tony Okiemute, has abandoned her one month-old-baby at St George’s Specialist Clinic and Maternity home in Warri, Delta State.
Okiemute reportedly committed this evil act because she could not afford to pay her medical bills estimated at N125, 000 only.
Mr Sunny Ebone, the administrative manager of the hospital said the lady delivered a set of twin on Wednesday, October 5, through cesarean operation.
Ebone said the lady had a boy and a girl but later lost the baby boy. He said he took the child to the police station after all efforts to track the mother who claimed to reside at Ekakoto Street in Orhunwhorhun Community, in Udu local government area of the state proved abortive.
The police are currently on her trail in order to save the baby’s life.
