SARS recovers car stolen in Delta at Imo
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Imo State Police Command have recovered a vehicle snatched at Asaba, Delta State.
The spokesperson for the command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said that the suspect, Chigozie Nwachukwu, was also arrested in an operation led by the SARS Commander, Godfrey Victor.
He said,
“On January 9, 2020, on the Tetlow Road, Owerri Urban, Imo State, SARS operatives led by CSP Victor Godfrey, together with Operation Irongate patrol team, arrested a suspect, Nwachukwu Chigozie, 27, and recovered a stolen vehicle from him.
“It is important to note that the unit received a distress call from Police Control Room, Owerri, about a stolen car from one Chikwendu Sunday in Asaba, Delta State, in the wee hours of January 9, 2020.
“Upon the intelligence information, the police teams swung into action and professionally recovered the white Toyota Camry car with number plate BWR 566 AZ and arrested the suspect.
“A Zenith Bank ATM, a power bank, a black handbag and a phone earpiece were recovered inside the car.”
