Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reiterated his administration’s dedication to infrastructure development as a crucial factor in driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents.

Speaking on Thursday at the unveiling of the newly rehabilitated Demurin-Agidi Road and Church Street in Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area and Kosofe Local Government Area, Sanwo-Olu emphasized that strategic road investments would enhance connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and boost business activities.

“The Demurin-Agidi Road is a project that has significantly improved road connectivity, reduced travel time, and eliminated perennial flooding issues,” the governor stated.

“This achievement also aligns with our vision for intermodal transportation, which directly impacts the health and socioeconomic well-being of our people.”

He urged residents to take ownership of the newly completed roads by maintaining them properly and avoiding acts of vandalism or indiscriminate waste disposal.

Sanwo-Olu highlighted that the rehabilitation of key roads such as Demurin, Agidi, and Church Street aligns with his administration’s THEMES+ Agenda, which prioritizes infrastructural renewal and economic revitalization.

“These roads are not just about mobility; they are about enhancing livelihoods and supporting the commercial activities of thousands of residents and business owners in these areas,” he said.

He also assured Lagosians that his administration remains committed to delivering strategic road networks in line with the Lagos State Transport Master Plan and the broader THEMES+ development framework.

The governor’s continued focus on infrastructure renewal has received widespread commendation, with stakeholders acknowledging the positive impact of improved road networks on economic growth and urban development in Lagos.
