Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed popular social media commentator, Jubril Gawat ‘Mr JAGS’ as his Senior Special Assistant on New Media.
Gawat is one of the known supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who promotes and defends the activities of the party and government on Twitter.
He took to his Twitter page on Friday afternoon to reveal that he had been appointed as an aide to the Governor in a tweet where he appreciated Sanwo-Olu for finding him worthy for the position.
Gawat was actively involved in the online and offline governorship campaign of Sanwo-Olu in the 2019 general elections.
He tweeted:
