Nollywood actress Nkiru Umeh has weighed in on the dilemma of having to choose between one’s partner and family members as witnessed in the case of Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
The actress who hails from Anambra opined that people’s priorities ought to change from the moment they say ‘I do.’
Consequently, she noted that one’s spouse should be seen in the light of a full course meal while family attachment or loyalty should be regarded as dessert.
The mother-of-four who aired her thoughts on her Instagram page stated that it would be ‘devilish’ of family members to place themselves above one’s spouse, adding that the concept of marriage is not rocket science.
In her words;
“This is not rocket science. Enough of the debates going around bikonu. If you have a beautiful and peaceful union with your partner, this should be effortless. Any family that expects to come first before a matrimonial partner is a devil’s apprentice period!!! We all have married siblings and we should know our place and stop complicating things. #kachinekemeziokwu”
