English Premier League side Everton will begin contract talks with Carlo Ancelotti after he was sacked as Napoli manager on Tuesday evening, Sky Sports reports.
Former Everton boss David Moyes is also linked with a possible return to Goodison Park in an interim role, while a new permanent manager is put in place.
Arsenal are also considering Ancelotti, who managed Napoli for 19 months, to succeed Unai Emery, according to Sky in Italy.
Ancelotti is regarded as a serious contender to land the Arsenal managerial job after winning the double with Chelsea in 2010 and the Champions League with Real Madrid four years later.
The Italian speaks good English and ticks all the right boxes for Arsenal.
