Nollywood actress and producer, Ruth Kadiri, on Thursday declared herself as the president of Anambra Wives Association.
The mother of one announced the appointment in a video that she uploaded on Instagram.
The 33-year-old actress also joked that the position of the president is exclusively hers while others who are interested in joining the association can apply for other posts.
She said, “Today I officially crown myself the president of Anambra association, nobody should threaten me to drag my title, there are other office, you can become the treasurer, you can become the Vice President, you can become anything. As a Benin girl I can tell you categorically that am an happy wife.”
Reacting to the post, her friends and professional colleagues hailed the self-elected president in the comment section of the video.
According to celebrities such as Laura Ikeji, Uche Nnanna and Sharon Oja, Ruth was just attempting to massage the ego of her husband’s people because he credited her account.
Some others praised Anambra men, saying they know how to take care of their women.
Ruth announced her marriage to her husband Ezerika in 2017.
