RRS commander: My best friends walked out of my life because they were arrested for fighting on my bach eve
The Commander of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, DCP Tunji Disu, has narrated a tale of how two of his close friends stopped being friends with him for discharging his duties as a police officer.
Disu, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, shared the story as his ‘Throw Back Thursday’ story on Twitter.
He said the men fought on the eve of his wedding close to his station and were arrested by police officers for disturbing public peace by fighting in a public place.
The men, who may have believed they would be preferentially treated because their friend is a police officer at the station they were taken to, were, however, disappointed when Disu was designated to handle their case and he told them they had committed affray.

He tweeted:
“On my bachelor’s eve day, 2 of my very close friends had a fight near my station. They were arrested and bought before me. I was shocked to the marrow. I told my friends and others that they’ve committed affray.
To register their displeasure, the furious men walked out of Disu’s life and ceased being his friends.
“My Boss warned them. Furious, my friends walked out of my life,” Disu added.
