The Rapid Responds Squad, a unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Abia State Command, has arrested members of a seven-man gang that robbed one Nnodim Ikechi in March at his residence at Eziama GRA, Aba.
The robbers also shot Nnodim in the left eye after robbing him of valuables.
The suspects, Emmanuel Paul, 22, and Ifeanyi Onyemiesi,17, who are members of the seven-man gang were arrested through intelligence by the Rapid Responds Squad.
Other members of the gangs now at large are Chika, Ifeanyi (aka Show), Prince (aka Aboy), Toothpick, Bouncer, and Victor (aka Stainless).
The same gang had allegedly robbed a former Chief Judge of Abia state, at his residence at GRA Aba.
The police are trailing the other fleeing members of the robbery gang.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna confirmed the arrests and urged members of the public with useful information to come up with information that would lead to the arrest of the fleeing suspects, assuring them that the identity of the informants would be protected.
