Royal family, Boris Johnson felicitate Prince Harry and Meghan over baby girl

The Royal family has congratulated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prine Harry and Meghan Markle, over the birth of their new baby girl, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
Nicknamed ‘Lili’ after the Queen, the couple announced that their baby was born on Friday, June 4 at 11.40am at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, weighing 7lb 11 oz.

Consequently, the royals including the Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, William and Kate amongst others ushered in congratulatory messages to welcome the second child two years after the birth of his brother, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said: “The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Catherine (@KensingtonRoyal) also wrote “We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”

The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily) added: “Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana! The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news. Lilibet is Her Majesty’s 11th great-grandchild.”

Newly-wed Prime Minister Boris Johnson (@BorisJohnson) also wrote: “Many congratulations to The Duke & Duchess of Sussex on the birth of their daughter.”

“Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of their daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. We extend our warmest wishes to The Duke, The Duchess and little Archie,” The Diana Award, set up to continue the legacy of Harry’s beloved mother, tweeted.
