The world was left astonished at the prowess of 33-year-old Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, when he scored a most beautiful goal ever contender against Juventus at the two clubs Champions League first-leg quarterfinal encounter.
But a viral video has emerged showing that Ronaldo, who is been crowned the World’s best player five times, is not the first to score such a wonder goal.
Two Africans, Mustapha Hadji of Morocco and Cameroon’s Patrick Mboma, did the same thing before Ronaldo did. Hadji’s magical moment came versus Egypt at the African Cup of Nations in 1998 while Mboma produced a lovely goal in 2000 against France at the FIFA World Cup.
According to BBC’s Oluwashina Okeleji, who first tweeted about it, his tweets are for clarity and not to undermine the beauty of Ronaldo’s goal.
