Robbery attempt: Buhari, security chiefs in close-door meeting
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has called an emergency meeting with Nigeria’s security chiefs in Aso Rock.
The meeting is coming 24 hours after suspected robbers attempted to burgle the residence in Aso Rock.
Recall that the burglars, according to presidential media aide, Garba Shehu, ‘unsuccessfully’ tried to invade the residences of Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari and the villa’s Administrative Officer, Maikano Abdullahi.
However, the presidency has announced via its verified Twitter handle on Tuesday that it is meeting with security chiefs.
“Security Meeting ongoing, at the State House. President @MBuhari presiding, Vice President, SGF, NSA, Ministers, Service Chiefs, IGP, Intelligence Chiefs in attendance. #AsoVillaToday #SecuringNigeria,” the presidency tweeted.
